Why Stick & Poke?

These tattoos are created using single-use needles that create a dot/stipple-like effect in the skin manually. The process is a lot slower than the “traditional” tattoo style and most people find them to be less painful. The experience can be more relaxing for some because it is slower-paced, not as noisy, and more about the art itself. Since they are made by hand and not machine, it’s important to remember that they will not always be perfectly solid and can sometimes heal a little dotty - which is part of the charm! But this also means they can be more delicate, smaller or just as detailed as other tattoo styles. Handpoked tattoos are just as permanent as machine tattoos, as long as you take the necessary care steps that all tattoos require during the healing process.
